Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab (Days)

Location: Lansing, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Specialty

Registered Nurse (RN) with strong cardiac proficiency
Previous Cath Lab experience required
Experience with pre and post care (holding experience) required
STEMI experience required

Clinical Experience & Skills

Nurses will work with cases including but not limited to:

Heart Catheterizations
Coronary and peripheral angioplasties and stents
Lytics administration
Embolizations
Impella patient management
Structural heart repairs (ASD and VSD)
TEEs and Cardioversions
Tilt Table Testing
Pacers and ICDs
Electrophysiology studies and complex ablations (especially Atrial Fibrillation)
Thoracenteses and Paracenteses
Tunneled catheter placements

Technology & Systems

Experience with Phillips equipment preferred
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Work Environment

Tertiary teaching hospital with 310 acute care beds
Cardiac programs and specialized clinical centers
15-bed Cath Lab
20-30 cases per day
Dress code: Grey scrubs

Additional Requirements

Prior travel experience is preferred, but not required

This position is ideal for an RN with solid cardiac cath lab experience looking for a temporary assignment in a high-volume, specialized cardiac care setting.
