Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM)
• Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Schedule: Weekday call every 8th day; weekend call every 8th weekend
• Start Date: ASAP, once medically cleared

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required for ER and Oncology, preferred here
• CNOR certification preferred (Certified Nurse Operating Room)
• State RN License (Massachusetts) – primary source verification required
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Tech Certification Verification (National)

Experience Requirements

• Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for OR circulating RN roles (no conflicting data)

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit test for N95 mask (3M-1860 Regular or Small) within past year
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – immunity proof or vaccination required; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella – immunity proof or vaccination required; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B – immunity proof required; booster or declination allowed if non-responder after full series
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within past 10 years
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSPOT) within 90 days of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required
• Drug Screen: 10-panel urine drug screen within 30 days of start, including Marijuana/THC
• Seasonal Vaccinations:

  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required
  • COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination required; no medical exemptions accepted
• Background Checks: Standard 7-year search including SS trace, county searches, sex offender registry, and Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles

Additional Notes

• This is a travel/contract position requiring flexibility with call schedules.
• Preference for CNOR certification but not mandatory.
• Compliance with all health and background documentation is mandatory prior to start.
