Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Owensboro, Kentucky
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4 days a week

• On call 2 nights a week
• Every 4th weekend on call

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Licensure and Certifications:

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) required
  • RCIS preferred

• Education:

  • Associate of Science Degree
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab experience

• Prior Travel Experience:

  • Not explicitly required

Certifications (As Required)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – highly preferred for PACU; required if extending 1 year or more
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification and transcript/diploma as needed
• State-specific search (KY Adult Caregiver Misconduct Registry)

Competency Exams and Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Cath Lab Radiology Technicians)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) with remediation process if needed

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annual)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• TB questionnaire if past positive history
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening (9 panel) within last 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required; declination form required if unvaccinated

Additional Requirements

• Clear, passport-style photo for badge (no head coverings except glasses)
• Completion of facility onboarding documents prior to start date (no exceptions)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist for applicable unit
• Internal evaluation if previously worked with the system over 2 years
