Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week, nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays
• Required Experience:

  • Minimum 4+ years of RN experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of travel nursing and Level 1 experience required (prior travel experience required)

Required Credentials & Certifications

• License:

  • Valid nursing license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required)
  • MA Conditional Licenses NOT accepted

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)

• Health Requirements:

  • N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite testing)
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
  • TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
  • Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred or proof of immunity/declination
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)

Professional Requirements

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Social Security Number trace with criminal check
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience (with city & state)
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Skills checklist required for submission
• Candidate submission coversheet required for submission

Additional Notes

• Prior travel nursing experience is explicitly required (minimum 1 year)
• Must be available for night shifts and weekend/holiday coverage
• No religious exemptions for fit testing or influenza vaccine
• Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start date
