Description

Job Opportunity: Travel Med Surg RN

Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)

Requirements

Specialty: Med Surg RN
Years of Experience: 2+ years in Med Surg (higher value from description)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Patient ratio: 1:6

Scrub color: Navy blue

Scope of Role

EKG
IV insertion
Medication administration
Foley catheter insertion
Vital signs monitoring
Assessment documentation
Assisting with Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
Conducting point-of-care testing (e.g., blood glucose)

Additional Information

Floating to other units as needed
48-hour guarantees are not available
Blocked scheduling may be requested

This position requires a reliable Med Surg RN with solid clinical skills and the ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
