Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Seaside, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (2 years indicated, 1st timers accepted)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM (block schedule, M-F)
  • Floating: No floating between units
  • On-call: Not required
  • Weekends: Not required
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:1
  • Responsibilities: Perform CT scans and X-rays as part of duties
  • Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital
  • Total Staffed Beds: 23
  • Charting System: Epic

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Current certification from AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
  • Other certifications as applicable per clinical track and specialty requirements

Licenses and Verifications

  • State Professional License (RT license applicable)
  • NURSYS Verification for RNs (if applicable)
  • Tech Certification Verification (national) as applicable
  • IV Certification (if applicable)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) if required by specialty
  • NIH Stroke Certification (every 2 years if required)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Education Verification required for all candidates
  • Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years
  • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
  • Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations and Health Documents:
    • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria) within 10 years or declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal Flu Vaccine or declination during flu season
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required for all new travel starts, updated annually
  • Fit Mask Testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)

Facility and Job Specific Requirements

  • Must complete required WorkRamp training modules prior to start, including:
    • Oregon Core Modules for profession
    • Specialty-specific modules if applicable
    • Annual Regulatory Requirements modules
  • Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
  • Must comply with Oregon and Washington state-specific background and licensing requirements if applicable
  • Float Policy Acknowledgement required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance)

Additional Notes

  • No on-call or weekend requirements
  • No floating between units for this position
  • Critical Access hospital setting with 23 staffed beds
  • Charting system used is Epic
  • Block schedule Monday through Thursday, 11 AM to 9:30 PM
