Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Conyers, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Specialty

• Radiology / Cardiology
• Split lab rotation between Cardiac, Vascular & Interventional Radiology

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Schedule & Call Details

• Call schedule includes weekends
• 9-10 call shifts per 6-week schedule (includes weekends)
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Holidays

• If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it
• If 2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler expected to work both
• If 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day

Orientation & Compliance

• Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Number of Non-Billable Orientation Hours (NBO) depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)

Required Certifications & Verifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for RRTs/CRTs and certain specialties
• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required except for some tech roles
• State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia (for CRTs & RRTs)
• Tech Cert Verification: National certification verification if applicable
• Background Check: Comprehensive background check required within 30 days of start
• Education Verification: Degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
• Physical Exam: Required by agency within 1 year of start
• Immunizations & Health Documents:

  • TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Flu vaccination or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)

Competency Exams & Additional Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (for RNs and LVNs)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (required for certain specialties)
• Facility-specific documents to review/sign (e.g., Code of Conduct, Dress Policy)

References & Work History

• Two clinical references required by agency
• Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing

Notes

• Locals accepted at same rate
• RTO (Request Time Off) limited to 7 dates maximum
• Floating assignments within facility as needed
