Job Description
- Provide advanced nursing care in electrophysiology with strong knowledge of cardiovascular pathophysiology.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Utilize equipment, supplies, and nursing resources efficiently.
- Ensure continuity of patient care and effective communication among staff.
- Adhere to hospital, department, and regulatory policies including Radiation Safety protocols.
- Maintain required certifications and participate in continuing education to stay current with electrophysiology trends.
- Demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and effective communication at all levels.
- Ability to work with adult, elderly, and critically ill patients, including emergency situations such as cardiac or respiratory codes.
- Must be flexible with shift coverage and overtime.
- Physically capable of lifting linen, supplies, and patients.
- Proficient with computers and cardiac diagnostic and mapping systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of hemodynamics required.

Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required before onboarding.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required before onboarding.
- Professional Nursing License – Primary source verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
- Fit Test (N95 Respirator) – Required within 365 days before start and updated annually.
- MGB Medication Exam – 80% passing score within 365 days before start.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Immunity – Documentation or proof of immunity required.
- Influenza Vaccine – Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed.
- TB Test – Documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Health Statement – Physician statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Criminal Background Check – Within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- Massachusetts CORI Check – Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- Resume – Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
- References – Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in skillset.
- Skills Checklist – Required for submission.
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form – Required for all initial assignments and extensions.
- Education Verification – Verified through background check company.
- SSN Trace – Must be run with criminal check.
- National Sex Offender Check – Within 30 days of start and updated annually.
- Exclusion Checks – Within 30 days of start and annually, including OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists.
Preferred / Optional
- Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity – Strongly preferred.
- Tdap Vaccine – Preferred within 10 years.
- Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray – If applicable.
- TB Symptom Survey – If positive PPD, updated annually.
