• Schedule:

  • Weekend: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed

• Minimum Experience Required: 2 years (accepts first-time travelers)

• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

• Holiday Work Expectation:

  • If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
  • If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
  • If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work 2 of them

• Major Holidays Include:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

• Orientation:

  • Maximum 7 days required
  • Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
  • Full compliance required to start on time; delays may push start by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

• Locals Accepted: Yes (same rate)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for ER specialty
• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for ER
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): May be required (check specialty requirements)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Online course required within a few months of hire (no re-certification needed)
• State License: Must be licensed in Georgia
• NURSYS Verification: Annual verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Tech Cert Verification (if applicable): National certification verification within 30 days prior to start

Required Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required by agency)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Competency Exam (required by agency)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for ER)

Required Health Documents

• Physical Exam (within 12 months)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 12 months)
• TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
• Immunizations:

  • Measles (Rubeola) - 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Mumps - 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Rubella - 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable if needed)
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required for 2025-26 season)

• Background Check (within 30 days of start) including education verification
• Education Verification (degree related to specialty) - can be pending at start with proof it is in process
• References: 2 clinical references required by agency
• Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
• Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process
• Facility-specific documents such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Notes

• This unit accepts first-time travelers; prior travel experience is not required.
• Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice.
• Compliance with all documentation and certifications is mandatory to start on time.
• Orientation and competency exams are required and must be passed within allowed attempts.
