Job Opportunity: Stepdown RN
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Stepdown RN for evening shifts
- Schedule: 7pm - 7am, 3 days per week
- Requirement: One weekend shift per month
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- NIHSS
- Nursys license verification
- Primary source verification of professional license/certification (updated within 30 days of start)
- Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
Required Exams & Testing
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Skills Checklist
Health & Immunization Requirements
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Influenza Vaccine or declination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- Hepatitis B vaccination (declinations not accepted)
- TB Test within 1 year of start date
- Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
- Tdap (declinations not accepted in some states)
- Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if onsite testing not available)
- Physical/Health Statement: Must be completed annually and state clearance to work
Background & Compliance
- National Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start date (some state-specific exceptions)
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion check
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
- Prime Orientation Packet (includes Essentials Form and Post Test)
- Prime Education Verification (copy of diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable)
Additional Requirements
- Resume: Must be up to date and reflect recent work history at time of offer acceptance
- References: Two required, including one from a manager or direct supervisor
- Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start
- Prime Color-blind test (annual)
