Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Arlington, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift Schedule:

  • Cascade Valley: 07:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Skagit Valley: 08:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Skagit Valley ED: 08:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Call Required: No
Floating: Primarily at Cascade Valley Hospital, with occasional float to Skagit Valley Hospital


Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Years of Experience Required: 1 year
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification) – check unit description for details

  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Locals Allowed: Yes
  • Radius Restriction: None

Background & Compliance

  • Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Education verification required (US equivalency documentation if education completed out of county)
  • Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • References: 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start required

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (3 doses or signed declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)

Additional Competencies

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Competency Exam (required)

This position offers a travel/contract opportunity with flexible floating between facilities and no call requirements, suitable for nurses with at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.
