Job Title

RN Gyno Oncology Clinic


Job Description

  • Chaperone pelvic exams with MDs and APPs
  • Discuss abnormal labs with patients (pap smears, CA-125s, Inhibin A/B)
  • Triage patient phone calls including:
    • Post-operative complaints >2 weeks from hysterectomy or other gynecological procedures
    • Gynecological complaints
    • Refill requests
  • Provide pre-op education for procedures including consenting
  • Complete paperwork such as FMLA, short term disability, long term disability, and cancer policies

Required Specialty

  • FMOLHS Eye Exam & Color Vision (Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within 1 year prior to start)

Additional Requirements

  • FMOLHS Skills Checklist (unit specific, updated annually)
  • FMOLHS Competency Exam (passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year)
  • FMOLHS Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Blood borne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; renewed annually)
  • FMOLHS Criminal Background Check (including county, national, and various federal checks; must cover last 7 years)
  • FMOLHS Resume and HRIS Form submission required
  • FMOLHS Badge Photo (neutral background, JPEG)
  • FMOLHS Contract Annual Education Packet
  • Nursys verification (nursing license verification within 30 days of start)
