Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse Case Manager (OB)
Location: Juneau, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Serve as the primary case manager for OB patients with some OB clinic nurse duties.
- Lead intake and tracking processes for OB patients.
- Provide education and outreach to support patients throughout their pregnancy journey.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and case managers for comprehensive care.
- Track postpartum care and newborn immunizations.
- Manage referrals and schedule ultrasounds.
- Assist as a floor nurse when needed.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Specialty: Nursing with OB or Labor & Delivery experience (OB or L&D experience is a must).
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years (based on additional info).
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska (must be active at time of submittal).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of nursing process, customer service principles, safety, and infection control.
- Must have received flu vaccination.
- Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility location.
Additional Information
- Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing. Travelers must schedule fingerprinting promptly to avoid delays.
- No housing or flights provided.
- Work environment: Close-knit team, meaningful impact on families, beautiful location surrounded by mountains and ocean.
