Job Details

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Floating: Required to float within skillset
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Locals: RNs within 75 miles are not accepted (locals accepted for LPNs)
• Accepts First-Time Travelers: Yes

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not Compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification may be required as per unit description
• State License and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start

Required Clinical Skills

• MS/Telemetry nursing with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Oxygen administration (nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management)
• IV therapy/phlebotomy with peripheral line care/management
• Isolation precautions

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Registered Nurse specializing in MS/Telemetry in Rochester, NY. The position requires night shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
