Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel/contract position in the MS/Tele unit. This is a 13-week assignment in Rochester, NY.


Required Experience

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • 7-Year Criminal Background Check (felony checks) within 3 months of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 3 months of start, updated monthly
  • HHS/OIG check within 3 months of start, updated monthly
  • Education Verification from primary source (no hard copies)
  • Foreign Equivalency Education Evaluation (if applicable)
  • Transcript/Diploma (if no education verification on file)
  • Employment Application required
  • Work History Verification (at least 2 past employments verified)
  • References (2 references within 3 years required for Aya candidates only)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Health & Immunization Requirements (must be completed within 5 days of contract signing)

  • Physical Exam (within 1 year, updated annually)
  • Fit Mask Test (within 1 year, updated annually; acceptable masks: Halyard duckbill 1870+, 1860 Regular, 1860 Small)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
  • TB Questionnaire (required in lieu of annual TB test renewal)
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (Surface AB positive titer, completed series or declination)
    • Varicella
  • Drug Screening (within 30 days of start; includes amphetamines, cocaine, ecstasy, fentanyl, heroin, opiates)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
  • Eye Exam (Snellen, within 1 year)
  • COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required

Competency Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as required)
  • Color Blind Testing (required once)
  • Competency Exam (as required by specialty/profession)

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Clear, passport-style photo for badge
  • Completion of facility-specific modules and attestations (details provided upon assignment)

State-Specific Requirements (New York)

  • NYS Nurse Aide Registry (within 3 months of start for certain care areas)
  • NYS Criminal Background Check Fingerprint Results (may be required for specific units)
  • Disciplinary Action Search Results (may be required for specific units)
  • Sex Offender Registry Search (within 30 days of start)
  • NY Medicaid Exclusion List check (within 3 months of start, updated monthly)
