Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Days)

Location: Towson, Maryland

Job Description

• Assess patients based on changes in condition and response to treatments
• Coordinate care planning with patients, families, and healthcare team members for hospital and post-discharge care
• Educate patients and families using teaching/learning principles
• Identify and address unit, staff, and patient care problems or refer to appropriate resources
• Coordinate patient activities with other disciplines

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
• Active certifications required:

  • American Heart Association ACLS
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association NRP
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
• Submission of recent supervisory references and skills checklist specific to Labor & Delivery discipline

Additional Information

• Overtime starts after 48 hours worked
• 1.5x pay for OT, call back, and holidays
• Candidates may request time off equivalent to 1 week of contracted hours during the assignment
• Orientations for RNs are held every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday, scheduled up to 6 weeks in advance
