Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Huntington, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty (higher value confirmed).
- First-time travelers are welcome, but some prior travel experience is preferred (prior travel experience not required).
Job Details
- Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM
- Call: Not required, but extra shifts and call opportunities available if desired.
- No floating required.
- Orientation held weekly on Mondays; 3-week lead time needed for compliance.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Must have experience with GE Revolution EVO Scanner & GE VCT Scanner.
- Must be able to work within a 50-mile radius.
- Can submit application with pending license, but license must be active and in-hand to start.
- Guaranteed 36-40 hours per week.
- Daily caseload averages 100-120 exams in a 24-hour period (varies by shift).

Required Certifications & Documents
- CPR/BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as required (AHA only)
- State License (Primary Source Verification required)
- Background Check: 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually; includes all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.
- Drug Testing: Must meet facility-specific requirements; drug screen within 30 days of start.
- Physical Exam: Initial physical within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands.
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
- Annual TB Questionnaire
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (2nd booster can pend at start)
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (2nd booster can pend at start)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31; declinations not accepted unless approved medical/religious exemption)
- COVID-19 Seasonal Vaccine required; initial series preferred; declination form required if opting out.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and annual education modules prior to or shortly after start.
- Completion of confidentiality agreements, attestation forms, and IT access agreements before start.
- N95 fit test completed onsite at orientation (male candidates must be clean-shaven).
- Facility-specific exemption forms for flu and COVID vaccines must be approved prior to start if applicable.
- Creation of facility-specific accounts for timekeeping prior to start.
Additional Notes
- No Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions; time off requests discussed during interview.
- Proof of 2 clinical references required.
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 year.
- Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be updated annually.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
This position offers a structured schedule with guaranteed hours and opportunities for additional shifts or call if desired, in a major teaching hospital environment with advanced imaging technology.
