Job Description

  • Work in Liver Care/transplant Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Transplant experience required

Experience Requirements

    • Sex Offender Registry
    • Education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification: Degree from an accredited nursing program (NLN or CCNE)
  • Drug testing within 60 days of start (9-panel minimum, instant screens not accepted)
  • Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tdap vaccine or declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (Q-gold/T-spot or PPD)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers (boosters if low titer)
    • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption required for 2025-26 season

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Completion of orientation modules (~6 hours) during orientation week
  • Pharmacology exam, Point of Care Testing, Airborne Precaution Mask Fitting at orientation (not pass/fail)
  • Basic Knowledge Assessment Tool (BKAT) for RNs/LPNs in Tele/Step-Down, Progressive Care, ICU units
  • HIPAA and confidentiality agreements required prior to start
  • Virginia State Police fingerprinting required for all RNs in Pediatrics, NICU, Behavioral Health, Labor and Delivery units
  • Central Registry Search (CPS) required for all RNs in specified units; must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
