Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel/Contract

Location: Corinth, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, rotating schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (7pm-7am) followed by 4x12-hour shifts (48-hour work weeks)

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
• Experience: Minimum 1 year required, 2 years preferred
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers are welcome)
• Licensure: Mississippi state RN license or compact RN license required
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender Registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
• Copy of BSN/ASN diploma or transcript
• NURSYS verification prior to start
• Signed Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (Joint Commission Training Safety Manual)
• Primary source verification of state license prior to start and upon expiration
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam relevant to specialty/profession
• Facility-specific documents including vaccination policy, respirator questionnaire, and new hire forms
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot within 1 year; chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
• TB Questionnaire (required annually if applicable)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 90 days prior to start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Two professional references within the last 3 years
• Skills checklist completion

• Locals are accepted for this travel/contract position
• The position is with an ambulatory care center setting
• Mississippi Department of Health criminal history fingerprint results required for patient-facing roles; valid for 2 years
