Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Local rates apply within 75 miles
• Epic experience preferred but not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT-CT
• Experience with one or more of the following equipment: GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens, Toshiba
• Clinical experience with:

  • Abdomen/pelvis
  • Chest
  • Head/neck
  • Multiplanar reconstruction (preferred)
  • Preparation/administration of contrast media
  • Starting IVs
  • Spine/musculoskeletal
  • Aspirations/biopsies (preferred)
  • Drainage (preferred)
  • Brain perfusion (preferred)
  • PACS
  • CTAs (preferred)
• Computerized documentation and isolation precautions knowledge required
• Patient population: All ages from neonate to older adult
• Settings: Inpatient and/or outpatient
• Required years of experience in specialty: 2 years

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Current Driver’s License if driving is a major job function
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification matching specialty (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
• State license primary source verification
• NURSYS verification for RNs as applicable
• Required certifications (AHA only unless otherwise noted):

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • EFM
• NIH Stroke Certification and CPI may be required depending on unit
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blind testing and competency exam required prior to start (not required for non-clinical)
• Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry check

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical)
• Annual fit mask test (exceptions for MLTs and non-clinical non-patient facing/remote)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Baseline TB risk assessment within 90 days of start, updated annually
• MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
• Hepatitis B surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
• Varicella - 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
• Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required; facility-specific exemption form must be completed

• 2 professional references required (1 for non-clinical)

• Badge photo required (shoulders up, solid light background)

Summary

This is a travel/contract CT Tech position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The role involves working evenings Monday through Friday with a variety of imaging equipment and procedures. Multiple certifications and health screenings are mandatory, along with compliance with facility-specific policies and documentation. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
