Job Details

• Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts (19:00 - 17:00)
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• 2 years Medical Surgical experience required (highest stated requirement)
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
• Biweekly orientation on Mondays
• 60 mile radius rule applies
• Scrubs: Any color, professional appearance; child-friendly print tops allowed; scrub/lab coat allowed
• Nicotine-free campus

Licensure & Certifications

• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Licensure: Candidates with pending certifications will be considered

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3 (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
• Education verification (MS RN diploma)
• NURSYS license verification within 2 days of submission
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start (instant drug screen permitted; marijuana not required)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted with mask requirement)

Additional Certifications (As Applicable)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - course available onsite after start

Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (Ishihara)
• Competency Exam (as applicable)

References & Skills

• Minimum 2 professional manager/charge references within past 2 years
• Specialty-specific skills checklist required

Notes

• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required (updated annually)
• Facility-specific onboarding and consent forms must be completed
• Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position
