Description

Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (School)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: Approximately 6 weeks (44 days rounded to 6 weeks)


Job Details

  • Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Positions available for K-12th grade students
  • Some travel between school sites may be required

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license before start date
  • Must hold ASHA CCC-SLP certification
  • Higher years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard SLP experience required
  • Prior travel experience: Not specified as required

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually (including multiple checks for last 7 years of residence/work/school)
  • Colorado CAPS Release Authorization form (must list 5 years residency) prior to background check
  • Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI)/FBI fingerprinting required (two sets: Aya and client)
  • Fingerprint clearance attestation required annually
  • State teaching certificate or license verification as applicable
  • Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) or Special Services Provider (SSP) license may be required if professional license not held
  • Educational Services Mandatory Reporter training (annual renewal)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
  • CPR not required for this role
  • Drug testing only if specifically requested by client
  • Physical exam, TB testing, and immunizations only if required by client or state

Additional Notes

  • Candidates should provide 3 references (2 supervisory)
  • Interview process may take several weeks to schedule
  • Candidates may need to start with certification pending if application is in process

This position is ideal for licensed Speech Language Pathologists with ASHA certification who are flexible to work in a school setting across multiple sites in Colorado.
