Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Registered Nurse)

Job Description

• BLS and PALS certification required
• EPIC experience required
• Couplet Care experience preferred
• High Flow Oxygen Delivery experience preferred
• Ability to work in OB (Obstetrics) is a plus

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license valid in Missouri (Permanent license in-hand required; temporary licenses not accepted)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification as applicable
• EPIC system proficiency with pass/fail testing administered onsite
• Must pass medication/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams as applicable
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Mask fit test within 12 months of start
• Required immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for NICU and Family Birthplace placements)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines required)
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (required September 1 - March 31; flu deadline October 31) or approved exemption
• Missouri state-mandated background checks and verifications including:

  • 7-year criminal background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks
  • Education verification
  • Missouri EDL search results
• Two professional references required
• Annual skills checklist required
• Employment application required
