Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Clarksdale, Mississippi
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Overview
Join a dynamic, family-centered Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns. This role offers variety and meaningful patient connections in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum mothers and their newborns in a combined LDRP setting.
- Manage continuous fetal monitoring and assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Deliver immediate newborn care, support breastfeeding, and provide patient education.
- Handle antepartum admissions, post-delivery recovery, and newborn nursery assessments.
- Collaborate closely with OB providers, anesthesia, lactation consultants, and support staff.
- Complete accurate documentation, discharge teaching, and patient follow-up education.
Schedule
- 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts, based on traveler preference.
- Block shift accommodations available.
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
- Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience required; 1 year Labor & Delivery experience acceptable.
- Licensure: Valid RN license in Mississippi.
- Certifications preferred or required:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (as required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (as required)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) (as required)

Orientation and Support

- Clarifications on patient ratios, unit expectations, and resources provided upfront.
Opportunities

- Potential for permanent role conversion after assignment completion.
- Ongoing training available in advanced fetal monitoring, high-risk antepartum care, LDRP procedures, and newborn resuscitation.
Required Documentation and Compliance
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID and state-issued RN license verification.
- Social Security card.
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG.
- Education verification as requested.
- Physical exam within last 12 months.
- Fit mask certification within 12 months (annual renewal required).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual update).
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination documentation as required.
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.
- NURSYS verification for RN license.
