Job Description

• Work on the AYA OFFER UNIT with night shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekends as needed, likely every other weekend (EOW)
• Floating required to all Medical-Surgical floors and potentially rehab units
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Clinical screening required before final manager interview and decision

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• EPIC experience required
• No call requirements
• Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Prior Travel Experience

Additional Requirements & Information

• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, fingerprinting (PA FBI), EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification required (highest level)
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Health documents required within 90 days of start, including:

  • Physical exam signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Immunizations and titers for Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tdap
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
  • Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination accepted
  • Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years
• Skills checklist and competency exams required annually, including medication, pharmacology, and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams
• Photo for badge required (passport-style, professional)
• Completion of facility-specific documents including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, and health & wellness commitments
• New hire orientation and Learning Management System (LMS) modules must be completed by specified deadlines

Notes

• Candidate must be prepared to float across multiple units
• Facility enforces a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
• Fingerprinting results must be on file within the first 45 days of assignment or the candidate will be removed from the floor
• Background and health documentation must include two identifying markers (e.g., full name, DOB, SSN)
• Some certifications and exams are pass/fail and may require remediation or second attempts based on facility policy
