Job Opportunity: EP Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of EP-specific experience. The role involves circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing EP cases and implants including ablations, pacers, ICDs, EP studies, and LAAO procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub, circulate, and document during EP procedures
• Support conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring
• Work with technologies such as GE CardioLab, EPIC, Carto, Navx, Cryo, and various stimulators (Bloom/Micropace)
• Operate stimulator equipment for intra-cardiac pacing protocols and conduction intervals (preferred)
• Manage an average daily census of 4-8 EP procedures
• Work in 2 EP rooms with 3 EP providers
• Use Biosense Webster Mapping system

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology nursing experience (highest required years of experience)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• Experience with circulating, conscious sedation, scrubbing, and telemetry in EP lab settings
• Government-issued ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including criminal, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and state-specific searches as required
• Education verification of highest nursing degree
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) with annual renewal
• Required immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray with yearly questionnaire
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
  • Drug testing within 1 year of start, covering a comprehensive panel
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Sept-April)
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and unit-specific skills checklist
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (approx. 16 hours) via WorkRamp
• Compliance with facility policies including HIPAA, latex allergy, confidentiality, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies
• References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
