Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (School)

Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 6 weeks (43 days rounded to 6 weeks)

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license for Texas
ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) required for Speech Language Pathologists
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
Educational Services - State Teaching Certificate and Credential as applicable
NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP if applicable)
Completion of Texas DPS Fingerprint Result Client Attestation prior to start
Educational Services - FERPA training (must be updated annually)
Educational Services - Mandatory Reporter training (must be completed prior to start)

Experience Requirements

Specialty years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with licensed Speech Language Pathologist role (typically 1+ years)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually

Required accounting and identification documents including W4, I9, Social Security card (if applicable), Direct Deposit Authorization, Emergency Contact Form, and Arbitration Agreement (expires annually)
Physical exam, TB testing, and immunizations only if required by client or state
Drug testing only if specifically requested by client
Educational aide certification required within one year for paraprofessionals at Title I schools (not applicable for SLP)

Additional Notes

Fingerprint attestation must be completed for each new assignment, even if returning to the same school
Competency exams are not required unless specified by the client
Some documentation and certifications must be uploaded and verified according to client and state requirements
