Job Summary
Seeking a Case Manager Registered Nurse with acute care experience and proficiency in Epic electronic health records. This is a travel contract position requiring an active Alaska RN license. The role involves working day shifts with a 5x8 schedule and weekend coverage every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week period. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (day shift)
- Possible shift times: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
Required Qualifications
- License: Current Alaska RN license in hand (pending license not accepted for auto offer)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in acute care (Epic experience required)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACM (Acute Care Management) certification preferred
- Skills:
- Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Acute care experience required
- Other:
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
- First-time travelers accepted

Additional Requirements and Compliance
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require both positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator fit testing required annually (travel only)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
Scheduling and Time Off
- Only one time off request allowed per 13-week assignment, for 5 days or less
- No holiday time off requests allowed for auto offer candidates
- Guaranteed minimum 72 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks
Training and Competency Requirements
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable
- Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
- Epic training modules must be completed and transcript submitted prior to moving to paid status
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
Floating Policy
- Candidate may be required to float to other Providence facilities within a reasonable distance
Notes
- This position does not require prior travel experience
- Pending licenses are not accepted for auto offer; must have active Alaska RN license
- Locals (within 50 miles) are not eligible for this travel assignment
