- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs

- Locals Accepted: No (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility)
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 eight-hour shift per 2 weeks)

Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Must have Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (Acute Care experience required)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACM (Acute Care Management) certification preferred
- Skills:
- Must have Epic electronic health record experience
- Acute Care experience required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Scheduling and Time Off
- Only 1 time off request allowed per 13-week assignment (up to 5 days)
- No holiday time off requests allowed for auto offer candidates
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screen: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Fit mask test required annually (onsite if no valid record within 1 year)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
Training and Competency Requirements
- Must complete Providence Health and Services annual regulatory and specialty-specific WorkRamp modules prior to start
- Epic training modules required and must be completed and verified prior to moving to paid status
- Medication and competency exams as applicable
- Skills checklist required annually for applicable units
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Pending licenses are not accepted for auto offer; Alaska RN license must be in hand
- Only one time off request allowed during assignment, no holiday time off for auto offer
- Local candidates not accepted (must live 50+ miles away)
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with acute care and Epic experience who is flexible with weekend work and floating, and who holds a current Alaska RN license. The contract is approximately 13 weeks with guaranteed hours and a day shift schedule.
