Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Description

• Interpret medical care plans and assess patients' clinical needs.
• Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Record medical information, vital signs, and report changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and conditions.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license for Massachusetts (no conditional licenses accepted).
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted in some locations)
  • N95 Fit Test (must be current within 1 year and updated annually)
  • MGB Medication Exam (80% passing within 1 year)
  • Influenza Vaccine (required during flu season, no exemptions)
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • TB screening (skin test or blood test within 3 months, updated if >6 month break)
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year, updated if >6 month break
  • Criminal Background Check including Massachusetts CORI, SSN Trace, National Sex Offender Check, and Exclusion Checks (all must be current and compliant)
• Additional Health Requirements:

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof (strongly preferred)
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (preferred)
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
