Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) – MedSurg Burn Center

Location: Jackson, Mississippi
Specialty: MedSurg Burn Center
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Work primarily in a MedSurg Burn Center (burn unit experience is a plus but not required)
Unit accepts Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ICU skill sets (cross-posted under ICU; only 1 position available)
Patient-to-nurse ratio typically 1:3, with a maximum of 1:4; if ICU patients are included, ratio is 1:2
12-hour night shifts

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of solid MedSurg nursing experience (burn unit experience preferred but not mandatory)
ACLS (AHA) certification
BLS (AHA) certification
NIHSS certification (AHA or APEX)
EPIC charting proficiency required
Flu vaccine required by November 15 (medical exemptions allowed with documented evidence)
Fingerprint background check required (remote process takes 10 days; in-person available locally prior to start)

Additional Information

Candidates with prior travel experience are preferred but not required
Position requires working within a 50-mile radius rule
Local candidates accepted
