Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some Saturdays
• Setting: Acute hospital environment
• Patient Population: Adults needing home health setup and discharge assistance
• Key Skills Required:

  1. Proficiency with technology (typing, Microsoft Office, Epic)
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  3. Excellent communication skills and clear documentation
• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, and plan of care development
• Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs
• Travelers required to work holidays as necessary
• No weekend shifts
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius not accepted
• Pending license accepted
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: 7 days

Required Qualifications

• Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Case Manager
• Years of Experience: 2 years preferred (higher end of 1-2 years range)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not accepted for first-timers (prior travel experience required)
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Acute hospital experience required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID (Driver’s License required for Home Health positions)
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required
• Professional license primary source verification (Missouri RN license verifiable on NURSYS)
• NURSYS verification required for Missouri licenses
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
• Various facility-specific documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene policy, dress code policy, and regulatory compliance education (annual updates required)
• Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required and must be updated annually
• Skills checklist required within 1 year of start, including oncology skills if applicable
• References: Two professional references required, preferably supervisors within the last year

• Candidates must be able to work holidays as needed
• Floating to other units within scope may be required

• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
