Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Topeka, Kansas
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Night shift position as a CT Tech
Requires 1 year of experience in the specialty
First-time travel assignments are acceptable
Work with Canon Aq One and Prime 160 CT scanners
Patient ratio approximately 1:2

Required Qualifications

Current Kansas State License for CT Tech in hand
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
Prior travel experience not required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

I9 verification
Driver’s License/State ID
E-Verify
7-year background check (including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
Education verification (highest level)
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start (must be renewed annually)
Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Certifications (As Applicable)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
Chemotherapy certification
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
NIH Stroke Certification
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)

Competency Requirements

Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (80% passing score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
Color blind testing (online acceptable)
Competency exams as applicable to profession (minimum 80% passing score)
Annual core testing for subcontractors

Completion of employment application/resume
Unit-specific skills checklist annually
7-year work history verification

This position offers an opportunity for CT Techs with at least 1 year of experience to work nights in a travel/contract role in Kansas. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
