Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Fishersville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW) and 2 weekday shifts every 2 weeks based on staffing needs
• Holiday Rotation: Must work one summer and one winter holiday; if multiple holidays fall in the assignment, expect to work most of them
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Unit: 2 West – Medical Innovation Unit (32-bed medical/surgical unit focused on new technologies and innovative nursing practice)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted (local radius rule: 50 miles)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with Pediatric patients

Additional Information

• Self-scheduling in assigned groups rotated weekly
• RTO (Request Time Off) policy requires working holidays as assigned
• Orientation and facility-specific documents must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency required as applicable
• No prior travel experience required
