Job Opportunity: PACU RN (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (primarily evening shift with occasional day shift; no night shifts)
Hours: 36 or 40 hours per week

Unit Description

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adult, and Geriatric
Specialties: General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecology
Bed Count: 34
Daily Census: 30 to 40 patients
Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients
EMR System: EPIC
Floating: Not required

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Specialty: RN PACU
Minimum 5 years of experience in specialty
Active Massachusetts RN License
Certifications: AHA ACLS, PALS, and BLS

Additional Notes

No rotating night shifts required
Prior travel experience is not specified as required
