Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Newark, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital setting.


Schedule & Work Details

  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call duties
  • Patient ratio is variable
  • EPIC charting system used

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
  • Must be highly skilled and well-versed in Nitric Oxide therapy
  • Experience with HFOV, HFJV, SERVO 1, Servo U, and PB 980 ventilators required
  • Pediatric (PICU) and Neonatal (NICU) experience preferred but not mandatory

Licensure & Certifications

  • Must have a valid New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license
  • CRT or RRT license acceptable
  • BLS certification required
  • NRP certification preferred but not required
  • First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Highly skilled and well-versed in Nitric Oxide therapy

Additional Information

  • Travel pairs are not accepted
  • Scrub color: Ceil Blue
  • EPIC electronic medical record system used
  • On-site fit testing mandatory on first day
  • Various facility-specific education and attestation requirements apply
