Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Hospice)

Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide and coordinate home nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies.
Directly supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
Average patient load: 5-8 patients per day.
Types of cases: Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, etc.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
No weekend rotation or on-call required.
Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic (approx. 150 miles per week).
Use of HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR required; proficiency in OASIS required for RNs.
Dress code: Scrubs.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
Minimum 1 year of hospice experience within the last year.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience working with adult patients.
Experience in a home health setting.
