Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Position Details
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
- Required Years of Experience: 2 years
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Scheduling: Not applicable
- Local Candidates: Accepted
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office Restrictions: 1 request allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN Intermediate certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Facility Type: Teaching hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
- Bed Count: 228 staffed beds
- Charting Systems: Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, Kronos
- Parking: Parking costs are the responsibility of the employee; public transportation options available nearby
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required; no on-call duties
Prior Travel Experience
- No prior travel experience required
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience who is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and comfortable with a travel contract assignment in Washington, D.C.
