Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room (Travel)

Location: Racine, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work every 3rd weekend, EOH (Evenings, Overnights, Holidays)
• 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• EPIC system experience required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin (or compact license valid in Wisconsin)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NIH Certification
• CPI or MOAB (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training, 8-hour course, updated every 2 years)

Skills & Competencies

• EPIC electronic health record system proficiency
• Completion of specialty exams and competency assessments as required by employer

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines or immunity (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
• TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test for N95 respirators (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+) required annually

Background & Compliance

• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment
• Employment and education verification within 90 days of start
• Drug screening: 12 panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• License and certificate primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Annual or periodic completion of core competencies, specialty exams, EKG exam, color vision test, and skills checklist

Additional Requirements

• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Driver’s license or state ID matching home state for compact license holders
• Professional references (at least two) prior to first assignment
• Completion of onboarding education and attestations as required by employer

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have EPIC experience, and meet the comprehensive health and compliance requirements.
