Job Opportunity: Rehab Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Fishersville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Rehab RN
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 7 AM to 7 PM (12-hour shifts)
Patient Ratio: 1:8
Unit: Acute rehabilitation unit (small 8-bed unit inside an acute-care hospital)
Patient Population: Stroke, neuro diagnoses, some trauma
Therapy: Approximately 3 hours of PT/OT/SLP per day
Floating: May float to Skilled Nursing Unit or similar medical/surgical units
Charting System: Meditech
Work Environment: Only RN on duty for the assignment but other nurses available in the building; must be comfortable working independently; assisted by CNA
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience, with rehabilitation experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
