Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Perryville, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Obstetrics (L&D preferred)
• Shift: Night (6:45 pm – 7:15 am)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed (3x12 hour shifts), occasional overtime available but no 48-hour requests
• Weekend Hours: Minimal, only to cover core staff PTO
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As needed within scope; no medical unit patient assignments

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Labor & Delivery
• Number of Beds: 7 total rooms (2 labor rooms)
• Patient Ratios: 2 nurses per shift; approximately 8 deliveries per month
• EMR System: EPIC
• Equipment: Typical for L&D unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• NRP certification

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)
• Facility is a Level III critical access hospital with a small-town feel
• Patient population includes typical L&D cases with a supportive, independent work environment
• Dress code: Facility-issued scrubs
