Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Days (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Hours: Not flexible
- Weekend Requirement: None
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, within department scope
- Block Schedule: Accommodated

- Time Off (RTO) Restrictions:
- No holiday RTO approved the day before, day of, or day after a holiday
- Maximum 5 total days off in the 13-week assignment
- No additional RTO after contract submission or while working
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of case management experience, including acute hospital case management within the last year
- Experience with Utilization Review, including InterQual criteria
- Ability to complete Utilization Review and discharge planning
- Knowledge of InterQual criteria
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for Tele/PCU, ER, ICU/CCU, PACU, OR; preferred for Observation units
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for Pediatric units; preferred for Observation units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for NICU, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum units
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – Required for Labor & Delivery units
- NIH Stroke Certification – Required for Med Surg, ER, ICU; must be updated annually
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background check with 7-year criminal search (all counties worked in last 7 years)
- Copy of diploma or transcript (unofficial acceptable if graduation date included)
- Primary source verification of state nursing license
- Physical exam within 1 year stating "cleared to work" with physician signature
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if prior positive)
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Drug test within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative results)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - May 1)
- Two professional references required prior to start
- Annual skills checklist and competency exam specific to unit
- Completion of required facility modules prior to start (including Oracle and NIH Apex modules)
- Badge photo with plain white background required before start
Attendance Policy
- Zero-fault attendance policy:
- Any missed scheduled shift counts as unexcused
- 2 missed shifts = warning
- 3 or more missed shifts = possible contract cancellation
Additional Notes
- Travelers must complete lab work within 48-72 hours of signing contract
- Must be prepared to float within department as needed
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience, strong knowledge of InterQual and utilization review processes, and the ability to work a consistent day shift schedule in an acute care hospital setting.
