Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Deliver nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families. Monitor changing conditions and re-evaluate care plans as needed.

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiothoracic ICU
Beds: 14 (expanding soon to 26)
Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2, varies by shift needs
Equipment: CRRT machine, Balloon pump, External Vent Drain, Impella, PrismaFlex
EMR System: EPIC
Patient Types: Cardiac (open heart, CABG), Neuro (stroke, brain surgery)

Shift Details

Shift: Day
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Hours: As needed, rotating
Call: None
Float: Will float to ICU and progressive units as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)
Dress Code: Black scrubs
Personality Fit: Competent, team player, good work ethic, flexible
