Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Location: Valdosta, Georgia

Job Summary

• Physical Therapist position in an inpatient rehab setting
• 1 year of experience required
• Work hours: 8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00)
• Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses include:

  • General medical (deconditioning/debility)
  • Orthopedic (including MVA and multi-trauma)
  • Neurology
• Patient ratio: 1:1 during day shifts
• Weekend shifts: Two Saturdays per month with a compensatory day off during the week

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or American Red Cross

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment & Additional Info

• Average daily census: 13 patients
• Visits per day: 1
• Rooms/Beds: 14
• Scrubs provided (color: Grey/Pewter)
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start, must be renewed yearly
• Mask fit testing completed at orientation
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year required
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, completed series, or signed declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including THC)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Background check within 30 days of start including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, and sex offender search
• Official transcript or diploma copy required
• Photo for badge (passport style, white background) required
• Employment application and 2 professional references required

Orientation & Facility Requirements

• EPIC testing on day 1
• Pass/fail testing for medication and EKG exams may be required depending on unit
• Facility-specific policies and training modules must be completed prior to start
• Compliance with drug and alcohol policy, confidentiality agreement, and scrub/dress code acknowledgment required
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required per facility mandate

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Fingerprinting through state system is not required for Physical Therapists
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is not required for this role
