Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must apply for allied health licensure within 72 hours of signing the contract.
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during events, requiring staying at the facility or being part of a relief team.
• Schedule:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off
  • 4 shifts of 10 hours (Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • 3 shifts of 12 hours (Sunday-Tuesday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Experience required in Emergency Department (ED), inpatient, and outpatient settings.
• Candidate expected to float between ED, main campus, outpatient, and nearby clinics.
• Experience with Epic and GE systems required.
• Unit does not accept first-time travelers.
• Must work holidays if scheduled.
• BLS certification required.
• CT Certification (ARRT (CT)) required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Louisiana.
• ARRT (CT) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Experience with Epic and GE Healthcare systems.

Required Documents & Compliance

• Current/valid Driver’s License or government photo ID (color copy).
• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly.
• Education verification of highest level completed.
• Sex offender search within 30 days of start, updated monthly.
• National certification verification for CT Technologist.
• License verification within 30 days of start; renewal must be in process if expiring soon.
• Physical exam within 12 months indicating good health.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start.
• Immunizations and titers as applicable:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (for ED, Pediatrics, Mother/Baby, NICU)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive IGG titer or completed vaccine series)
  • Hepatitis B (positive antibody, vaccine series, or booster)
  • Varicella (positive IGG titer or vaccine series)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months; chest x-ray and questionnaire if positive.
• Seasonal flu vaccination, declination, or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 30).
• Photo for badge: full color, passport-style, taken within last 6 months.
• Skills checklist and employment application required.
• Competency exam specific to specialty, updated annually.

Additional Notes

• Candidate must be comfortable with emergency event assignments.
• Onsite fit testing for masks available if needed.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts and float between multiple areas.
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with prior travel assignments who are flexible and able to work a demanding schedule in a fast-paced environment.
