Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift includes late day until 7:00 PM on rotation (1-2 times per week)
• Call coverage currently handled but may be possible in the future
• Minimum 2 years of circulating experience required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• No Return to Origin (RTO) candidates will be accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I-9 or attestation required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Criminal background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including sex offender and nationwide checks
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Education verification as applicable
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) positive titers or proof of vaccination (declinations not accepted)
  • Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella titer or proof of vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Flu vaccination or approved declination/waiver required during flu season
• COVID vaccination or approved declination form required
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments prior to start
• Completion of HealthStream training modules prior to start (2-3 hours)

Additional Notes

• Candidate must review and sign facility commitment to excellence standards and confidentiality agreements prior to start
• A clear, passport-style photo with a solid background is required for badge issuance
• Fit testing and color-blind exam will be completed onsite during orientation
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years required
• Employment application and skills checklist required and must be updated annually
