Job Opportunity: Wound Care Registered Nurse
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM), Monday through Friday
- Schedule: No nights, holidays, or on-call required
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every 6-week weekend rotation
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (home address must be at least 75 miles away)
- Pending License: Accepted
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Special Requirements: Orthopedic experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of wound care experience, including wound care within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Wound care expertise including:
- Double barrel stoma
- End stoma
- Ileostomy care and management
- Loop with rod stoma
- Mucous fistula
- J pouch
- Fecal incontinence program
- Tunneling wounds
- Stage IV pressure ulcers
- Use of hydrocolloids and other wound care products
Additional Information
- No on-call duties required
- No block scheduling accommodation
- Must be able to meet travel and assignment restrictions (e.g., no more than 7 days return to office restrictions)
- Must be willing to complete required documentation and compliance processes prior to start
This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with wound care expertise seeking a travel contract opportunity with a structured weekday schedule and no night shifts.
