Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for Cath Lab with experience in complex Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI). The role involves working in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Key Details

• Average daily census: 4 procedures per lab
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 (days), 1:3 (nights)
• On-call required, including weekends
• Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
• Locals accepted
• Pending license not accepted
• Maximum return-to-office restriction: 7 days
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Required Experience & Skills

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Complex Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) experience
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

License Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri
• Primary source verification required

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months of start (including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include standard panels
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, and unit-specific competency exams required and must be updated annually
• Skills checklist specific to unit required within 1 year of start
• References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)

• Scrub color provided
• Must adhere to facility policies including dress code, hand hygiene, fingernail policy, and confidentiality agreements
• Floating between units and facilities may be required to meet staffing needs
• On-call responsibilities include weekends
