Job Opportunity: Night House Nursing Supervisor

Location: Northampton, Massachusetts

Job Description

• Coordinate patient care and represent Nursing Administration during designated shifts.
• Collaborate with hospital services and Administrator-on-Call.
• Incorporate patient age and cultural diversity into care provision.
• Contribute to quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques.
• Shifts are generally five 8-hour shifts per week, with occasional flexibility for 12-hour shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 3 years of House Supervisor experience
• House Supervisor experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Charge roles

Required Credentials and Compliance

• Professional license verification (primary source) within 30 days of start date; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
• Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted).
• Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed).
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.
• Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccination or immunity proof.
  • TB test within 3 months of start date and updated if break >6 months.
  • Physician health statement within 365 days of start date.
• Criminal background checks including:

  • County and national checks within specified timeframes.
  • Massachusetts CORI check.
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid).
• Submission of a recent professional photo (color, plain background, no filters).
• Resume covering past 7 years of work experience.
• Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor-level).
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year.
• Candidate submission coversheet required.

Additional Information

• Must maintain all required documentation and certifications current throughout assignment.
• Contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
