Description

Job Opportunity: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Location: Thornton, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Job Description

  • Position available ASAP from March 30th to May 22nd
  • Full-time, 40 billable hours per week
  • Work with elementary school population
  • Assignment covers 4 schools total: 3 schools one day per week each, and 1 school two days per week
  • Requires experience supporting elementary students and COTA duties
  • Preference for candidates with strong organizational skills and experience working across multiple schools and teams

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Colorado
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with at least 1 year of experience
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience within the last year

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of various employment and confidentiality agreements prior to start
  • Submission of required tax and employment documents
  • Background checks including criminal history, sex offender registry, and employment verification within the last year
  • Fingerprint clearance attestation as per Colorado regulations
  • Annual renewal of certain certifications and training as applicable
  • COVID-19: Face masks required; vaccination not mandated by client

Experience

  • Experience required: Supportive experience with elementary school populations as a COTA
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Notes

  • Physical exam, TB testing, and other health documents are only required if specified by the client or state
  • Drug testing is not routinely required unless requested by the client
  • Flu vaccination is not required unless specified by the client
